My Training
I was awarded the White House Fellowship by the
Department of Health where I participated in researching
treatments for various mental disorders in Washington,
D.C.
My training was further extended at the University of
Miami's prestigious Mailman Center for Child Development
and received additional training in trauma and abuse
(both sexual & physical), through the University of
Miami Child Protection Team.
After several years working at various community mental
health agencies, I began my Private Practice in 2003 and
have since focused on advancing my clinical skills.
My Methodology
I use a variety of techniques and interventions, and I
specify focus on your strengths, not your weaknesses.
My counseling model focuses on solutions in order for
you to make powerful and positive changes in your life.
Client-centered counseling does not use diagnoses, but
helps the client be what they are: "an Expert in their
lives," this includes unconditional positive regard,
empathy and trust.
I'll show you what's right with you and and help
you change what you feel is wrong. I use a
cognitive behavioral approach which is a form of
psychotherapy that aims to influence and change negative
emotions, irrational thoughts and beliefs that are
preventing your natural self-growth and happiness.
My style seeks to identify "problem cycles" and helps
you regain that control of your life, that only you
should have. I do not run a quantity practice.
I focus on quality of service and limit myself on a
manageable number of clients, where I can provide
discreet and private counseling in a safe and
comfortable environment.
I welcome you to my webpage and encourage you to browse

Choosing a therapist can be an overwhelming experience.
